Today I want to share about things that happening around me for the last couple of days. Actually last week on Saturday 2/2/08, I have attended my best friend engagement ceremony, Lalitha aka lalat at her mom house Taman Ibu Kota. Since this is the first time I attend indian engagement ceremony, I was quite shock at first when I saw a people from temple came to witness the event. At first I was confuse, thought the engagement turn out to be a wedding event ( knowing lalat..who knows she tried to surprise people..heheh). Anyway what I can say it was a really sweet and touching event where both of their parents tie knot to each other by their so called 'Kadi' aka Sami (dun really know wat they called in tamil..heheh). Since they were talking in tamil so I guess it was like promising each other to take care and share the love of their children, their future grandchild, be a good parents in laws and don't fight against their 'menantu'(heheh, pandai2 jer aku tambah2, best jugak kalau malay tradition ada nasihat2 percuma gini sebab selalunye hanya couple jer yg kena nasihat). Lalitha looks very beautiful and stunning in her pink sari as well as her fiancee in white punjabi suites. As usual she always remind me of Jacquline Victor-my fav singer vice versa. They've already pick a date for their wedding..would be somehere in June..if not mistaken 14 June 08..I would really hope I can attend their wedding since it will definately fall during my confinement day (Don't care hubby...U must take me to their wedding)
On that Saturday nite I attend a weedding of my ex-secondary schoolmate, Syhuhada at Ampang. The wedding was fabulous with garden theme. The brides was in white wedding suites. Eventhough it was raining all nite but the ceremony was very cheerful and the crowd is huge. We can see a few table full with japanese people...that must be Syuhada colleague or he ex-uni friend. Besides all the things, I was quite surprised when I saw another friend (which also happened to be my ex-schoolmate)of mine become her bridesmaid--Aisyah. The thing is that I've received her wedding invitation which is happened to be the following week. Isn't that weird...coz normally for a malay tradition a bride to be are not supposed to expose themselve too much especially when the time is near to the wedding date. My mom definately will kill me if I did such things.
Anyway to continue my story...I had several event for CNY holiday. My sister clinic opening, my neighbour open house, Aisyah wedding and mak su zah grandson 'cukur jambul'. My holiday was really fully occupied this time. Thanks to my most sporting hubby that really make my day off and not to forget my cute-lil'pie Qareez Iskandar to behave himself this time. To my surprise, he's totally act like a grown up kid and really know how to adjust himself according to time and place. To all my friends who just started your marriage life, I wish you all the best, God bless you and Insyallah bahagia selalu.
